New York Times Makes Two Masthead Moves

The New York Times has made two moves today. Matt Purdy has been named assistant managing editor and Marc Lacey is now associate managing editor, overseeing the paper’s weekend report.

Purdy has been with the Times since 1993, most recently serving as an investigations editor. Lacey was most recently the Times’ deputy foreign editor. Prior to that he was a correspondent in Phoenix, Mexico, Nairobi and Washington.
