New York Times Gets Li Na Medications Mixed Up

There are a couple of corrections at the bottom of the online version of Brook Larmer’s profile “Li Na, China’s Tennis Rebel,” which ran in the August 25 U.S. Open-themed issue of The New York Times Magazine.

The first fix, dated August 26, is pretty innocuous. But the second, tagged August 28, is a little more embarrassing:

An earlier version of this article misidentified the medication that Li Na felt pressured to take in 2002. It was hormone medicine used to play through a debilitating period, not steroid pills.
