New York Observer Culture Editor Christian Lorentzen Heads to the London Review of Books
New York Observer Culture Editor Christian Lorentzen is heading to London to join the London Review of Books, Adweek reports.
You may know Lorentzen from his semi-notorious piece in 2007 called “The Hipster Must Die: A Modest Proposal to Save New York Cool,” where he makes the important point: “I propose that the only hope for a reanimated bohemia, if not a dezombified hipsterdom, is civil war.”
True that.
Lorentzen joined the Observer in May of 2010, and prior to that was senior editor at Harper’s Magazine.
