New York Magazine Finds Its New Executive Editor

She is Lauren Kern, returning to the glossy after a four-year stint at New York Times Magazine. Capital New York’s Joe Pompeo has the memo sent out to staff Monday by New York EIC Adam Moss.

Kern, deputy editor at the New York Times Magazine, was seen to be in line for the top job there along with fellow deputy editor Joel Lovell (now working on NYT special projects) when Hugo Lindgren exited for Hollywood. But instead, the NYT opted for Texas Monthly EIC Jake Silverstein.
