New Order Takes Photo, Miyamoto Ryuji Remembers When We Took It Too (Back in '95)

A really interesting story by way of Jean Snow, about the borrowing or theft, or however you perceive it, of a photo by Miyamoto Ryuji being recreated for the cover of a New Order DVD, without any acknowledgement whatsoever. Understandably, Ryuji is pretty upset, as there’s no denying it’s not his work to begin with, just built to resemble the original and shot in color. Here’s his statement:

The photographer said he would have accepted the similar photograph if it had been properly labeled.
