Executives at NBCUniversal are apparently big BuzzFeed fans. According to Recode, NBCUniversal is about to invest $200 million in the site, which would boost its value to about $1.5 billion. The power of lists and gifs is unstoppable.
NBCUniversal isn’t stopping at BuzzFeed. The company is also negotiating to invest in Vox Media (which owns Recode), in a deal that would value the company at roughly $850 million.
That’s quite a heap of cash. Go ahead and pop some bottles, BuzzFeed and Vox staffers.
