NBC4 Censors Joke About Super Collider Thinking That Meant a Train

Gawker has the exclusive video on this. Basically, Conan O’Brien was doing a bit about ‘smashing things together at high speeds’. He mentions the Super Collider. Then goes into a bit about smashing celebrity douche bags together. Suddenly anchor Colleen Williams comes on the screen, says it’s not appropriate for them to show that bit because of the recent fatal train accident and because they are the new arbiters of sensitivity for Conan’s mostly unemployed or insomniac audience they go into news about the market, ahem, crashing.
