NBC News Poaches Michael Isikoff From Newsweek

Newsweek reporter Michael Isikoff is leaving the magazine to join NBC News as the network’s national investigative correspondent. He will conduct reporting for NBC’s TV shows and contribute to msnbc.com.

Isikoff has been at Newsweek for 16 years and is something of a franchise player, having played a key role in reporting on the Monica Lewinsky scandal and later covering Abu Ghraib, presidential politics and the war on terror.

Newsweek was put up for sale by parent company The Washington Post in early May.
