National Enquirer Set to Launch in Germany

It's the AMI publication's first foreign-language print edition.

Starting Jan. 14, the National Enquirer will be dishing its trademark brand of celebrity news and gossip directly to consumers in Frankfurt, Berlin and beyond. The German version marks the first foreign-language print edition of the American Media, Inc. flagship and the publication’s second international edition, to go along with the U.K. (The U.S. edition is also distributed in Canada.)

What will a German-language edition of the Enquirer look like? And how quickly will AMI figure out a way to put the artist formerly known as David Hasselhoff on the cover? We’ve got the answer to the first question, via some dummy artwork provided by AMI.

From today’s announcement:

“There is a void among German celebrity magazines in terms of how they cover today’s major Hollywood celebrities and international figures, and the National Enquirer will fill that void,” said David J.
