MSG Networks, NHL Ready to Drop the Puck on Abbreviated Season

Finally! The NHL ended its lockout that came perilously close to canceling the entire season. Instead, the NHL slashed the schedule nearly in half, much like the NBA was forced to do in 2011.

The shortened schedule gets started this weekend as MSG Network once again is home to the Rangers, Islanders, and Devils.

The Rangers open the 48-game regular season at the Bruins Saturday night. MSG Network covers 41 of the Blueshirts’ matchups. Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti return to the booth.
