Mr. Fish Reflects on the LA Weekly

The LA Weekly gave political cartoonist Mr. Fish, aka Dwayne Booth, the axe last week as yet another cost-cutting measure. Mr. Fish contributed to the paper for nearly six years, and he’s witnessed the many changes ushered in by the new owners – most of which came in the form of cost-cutting measures. On his blog Clown Crack, he reflects on the transformation:

Once comprised of a sizable and competent staff capable of competing with the other two major metropolitan newspapers in the area, namely the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News, the current personnel who remain to produce the ever diminishing pages of the LA Weekly might best be described as only slightly outnumbering the Osmond Brothers.
