Mr. Fish Blacklisted from LA Weekly

The long-running political cartoon Mr. Fish was cut from the LA Weekly last month, and cartoonist Dwayne Booth took to his blog to express his frustration. He wasn’t just upset about losing a gig, he explained, but what he viewed as the downward spiral of both the LA Weekly and her sister paper, the Village Voice. That candor seems to have peeved LAW management. From Neon Tommy:

Drex Heikes, the Weekly’s editor, said that although he had considered reemploying Booth under different terms, the “broadside against Village Voice Media has indeed ended our relationship.”
