Back in August, reports surfaced that Bloomberg planned to hire 100 media professionals for a new venture in Washington, D.C. The Washington Post has some more details about the creation of Bloomberg Government today. The important news, Bloomberg still plans to hire for “100 jobs in Washington for editors, reporters, analysts, Web producers, sales representatives and product managers.”
“We will be providing deep, reliable, quick, unbiased reporting on government and business, paired with comprehensive data and analysis,” said Bloomberg spokeswoman Sarah Feinberg to the Washington Post. “In order to provide the most thorough coverage possible, we are hiring journalists interested in combining reporting with in-depth analysis and policy.”
According to the report, BGov.com is under development, and should launch to subscribers in January. BGov.com plans to provide analysis of government decisions on businesses in real time. You can check out all the job openings at Bloomberg, and there’s, in fact, a long list.
