Modern Woodworking Is No More

Randall-Reilly Publishing will fold Modern Woodworking, with the October issue as its last, Folio: reports.

The 23-year-old trade magazine had a 35,200 circulation, but the publisher said it wanted to focus on its core products, trucking and construction.

Wood and woodworking titles haven’t been doing so well this year. As Folio: notes, Watt Publishing merged Cabinetmaker and FDM, and Cygnus closed four trade magazines including one wood-related one.

Several of the magazine’s execs will remain with the company, including editor Jeff Crissey, executive editor Brooke Wisdom and account executives Matt Ochocki and Kendall Crawford.
