Missile Fired Off the LA Coast Baffles Nation

KCBS traffic choppers caught video of a what appears to be a missile being launched yesterday just 35 miles off the coast of LA, just north of Catalina Island. The national press has been all over the story and no one seems to know who fired the missile or for what reason–or even if it’s a missile at all. Pentagon officials told the AP “Nobody within the Department of Defense that we’ve reached out to has been able to explain what this contrail is, where it came from.”
