Michael Luo Leaves NY Times for New Yorker

The Times vet moves on.

New York Times veteran Michael Luo is departing The New York Times to join The New Yorker as senior editor in charge of investigations.

Luo had been with the Times since 2003. He most recently served as deputy Metro editor, a role he took on in 2014.

“Michael Luo has a terrific reputation as an editor—smart, tough-minded, sympathetic—and I know he will help raise our game when it comes to investigative reporting in particular,” New Yorker editor David Remnick told Politico.
