Michael Bloomberg is a Knight Now

Michael Bloomberg has been knighted. According to The New York Times, the former mayor was given the honor because of his “prodigious entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavors, and the many ways in which they have benefited the United Kingdom and the U.K.-U.S. special relationship.”

Now that Bloomberg is officially a knight, rumors are flying that he’ll seek to purchase “at least” half of the world’s dragons and unicorns. Media insiders are also buzzing about Bloomberg’s potential interest in wizards and griffins; the former for their tech savvy, the latter for their unprecedented work ethic.

While Bloomberg will be recognized as a knight, he is not a British citizen, and so he cannot use “Sir” before his name.
