Miami Herald Copy Editors Struggle With Newspaper 'Eonomic' Woes
McClatchy Company, the country’s third-largest newspaper company, is cutting 1,400 jobs, 250 from the Miami Herald. They might want to keep some copy editors around.
A headline from a Herald story posted this morning read “Eonomic woes punish Florida newspapers.” The article went on to discuss how a lack of advertising dollars were forcing papers in the state to lay off employees. To recap, copy editors at the paper in question misspelled a word in a story about the cuts coming to the newsroom.
