Met's New Greek and Roman Galleries See Millionth Visitor

Perhaps boosted by Project Runway‘s recent trip there or contestant Rami Kashou‘s penchant for Grecian-style draping, New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday tallied the one millionth visitor to its new Greek and Roman Galleries. The museum announced today that since the galleries opened last April, they have attracted an average of 3,700 people per day (about 27% of total museum attendance during that period). The “museum within in a museum” houses more than 5,300 works of art created between about 900 B.C.
