In an interview published today in the Manila Bulletin, actor Mel Gibson is quoted by Hollywood Foreign Press Association card-carrying member Janet Susan R. Nepales as having said the following:
“We were very poor when I was a kid. I asked my father for a pet that goes everywhere I go, eats everything I eat. So he gave me a tapeworm.”
Cynics might suggest this could explain a lot about the actor’s consumption of tequila as an adult and residual father-son issues.
