Media Jobseekers: Leave New York Plz

An interactive graphic on USAToday.com done with the help of Moody’s Economy.com is saying that if you want to get a job this year in media, you may have to leave the Big Apple.

Jobs in the information sector (publishing, broadcasting, etc) are expected to shrink by 3 percent in New York in 2010, while growth will happen in New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and parts of New England.

Left Coasters will see growth remain nearly flat; better than the 1 percent overall decline predicted across the country as a whole—unless you live in Oregon, which is going to shed almost 7 percent of its information jobs.
