Maurie Perl, who has been with Condé Nast since 1992, is leaving the company. Perl has held a variety of positions with Condé, with stops at Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, as well as manning company-wide public relations for a dozen years. In 2011, she was named senior vice president, media and communications, for Condé Nast Entertainment Group.
According to WWD, Perl is leaving as the company brings a communications firm — the Rubenstein Group — aboard. In a memo, the change to an agency was billed as necessary, because the company was “on track to launch a number of digital video channels and establish itself as a formidable player in the scripted TV and feature film arenas.”
Perl, who is leaving in February, told WWD that she was far from finished. “I have no intention of retiring,” she explained.
