Matt Mastrangelo Joins Self
Matt Mastrangelo is joining Self as an associate publisher. Mastrangelo was previously the publisher of Rolling Stone for the past three years, but was fired in June. He had been with Rolling Stone since 2001.
Mastrangelo will succeed Anita Maiella, who departed Self in May. Mastrangelo will report to Laura McEwen, Self’s publisher.
“I am beyond thrilled that Matt has joined the Self team as I seek to recruit the strongest industry talent to our extraordinary brand,” said McEwen in a statement. “Matt’s experience includes significant integrated sales successes across print, digital, social, mobile and event marketing.”
Renee Lewin — previously an associate publisher at Harper’s Bazaar and Good Housekeeping — will retain her role as associate publisher for marketing and creative services.
