Maria Bartiromo Is The New Voice Of The LIRR

Money honey Maria Bartiromo is the new voice of the Long Island Railroad. The CNBC anchor was hired by MTA board member Mitchell Palli to record new PSAs for the train system:

  • “Watch the gap”
  • “Hold your child’s hands while boarding.”

…Interesting. No word on how much Bartiromo was paid for the gig. For their part, the LIRR says that they’re lining up other celeb spokespeople as well. In that spirit, may we recommend that you take a look at the fake London tube announcements that got the woman who recorded the real ones fired from her London underground gig? If you haven’t… you probably should.
