Magazine Sales Continued To Decline In 2010
Newsstands grew even lonelier last year as second-half circulation numbers for 2010 were downfor the majority of magazines. According to a study by the Audit Bureau of Circulations, Hearst dropped 6 percent and Condé Nast declined 10 percent in singly copy sales. Among the biggest losers at Condé were Allure, which experienced a 19 percent downturn, Lucky, which saw a 22 percent dip, and Self, which fell 16 percent.
A rare winner in 2010 was Town & Country, which improved newsstand sales by 25 percent.
