It is perhaps instructive at this point in time to briefly meditate upon the sudden rise of luxury magazines as the sparkle of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week slowly evaporates like a glass of champagne left untended. As Anna Wintour took a victory lap around town as much on her social position at the top of the fashion world food chain as on the merits of her record-breaking September Vogue issue, which defied the downward gravitational pull of print media in decline.
