Lotta 'Lliteration: The Paparazzi Are Putting Pressure On People, Putting Its iPad App In Peril
Somewhere, a whole gaggle of celebrities are smirking in a rather self-satisfied manner over their Bean & Leaf. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the photo agencies which routinely supply paparazzi pics for People have grouped together to demand additional compensation from the magazine, effectively stalling the release of its upcoming iPad app.
Negotiations between the two parties are currently underway at the Time-Life building here in New York.
A People spokesperson dismissed the notion that the talks were delaying the app’s release, saying that “the People iPad application launch date has absolutely nothing to do with photo agencies.”
