Lenny Dykstra Is a Very Bad, No Good Boss

A year ago, we reported a story about the financial troubles of OverTime – a magazine dedicated to helping professional athletes manage their money published by former National Football League cornerback Ryan McNeil. In talking to people familiar with the matter, we uncovered that he owed over $100,000 and was a brutal boss.

According to an article in this month’s GQ, however, McNeil might not be the worst professional-athlete-turned-magazine-publisher out there. Kevin Coughlin, a former photo editor for Players Club, the publication founded by Lenny Dykstra, details the working conditions under the former Philadelphia Phillies star.
