LAT Launches Special Memorial Day Tribute

Since 2001 The Times staff writers have written over 400+ stories honoring the lives of Californians killed while serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. We’ve since turned that reporting into a searchable database of California’s war dead to serve as the basis for telling the broader story about who has died, where they came from and who they left behind.

In Sunday’s print edition (A1 & Bulldog) the main tribute article will revisit the personal stories of California’s war dead.
