Much has been made about New York’s American Folk Art Museum‘s departure from its current home. From the crippling debt that forced it to sell off its West 53rd Street tower, to dueling critics debating the merits/demerits of said Tod Williams and Billie Tsien-designed building, to how much the MoMA paid to buy it from them ($31.2 million), there was a good deal of talk about the ins and outs as the museum prepares to move to its other location.
