Today’s Scariest Newspaper Front Page Belongs to…

On this Hallow’s Eve, the Journal & Courier in Lafayette, Indiana wins U.S. honors by a spooky mile. In connection with some local communities deciding to postpone trick or treating because of impending bad weather, they went with the Cloud Monster.


Seriously, if you’re about seven years old and catch sight of this on the breakfast table, are you ever going to want to go trick or treating again? We don’t think so.

A couple of other Halloween U.S. front pages worth noting. The Reno Gazette-Journal offers the most picturesque, simple take while the Rawlins Daily Times in Wyoming scores with its colorful feature angle.
