Knight Foundation Gives Millions To Local Journalism Innovators
It’s been less than a year since the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation pledged to give $5.1 million to 17 innovators and nine projects as part of bi-annual Knight News Challenge, dedicated to finding new ways to save media. It was their third annual contest and part of a pledge to donate $24 million in contest earnings over the course of five years.
