Kiplinger Fellowship Will Focus on Social Media

Social media just received the fellowship treatment, as Kiplinger will invite 15 journalists to Ohio State University for a week-long indoctrination into the world of SEO, Twitter and digital footprints.

Winners of the 2011 Kiplinger Fellowship will earn an all-expense paid trip to OSU from March 9-16. The journalists will learn the best ways to use social media, and develop new ways to attract readers on the social Web.

According to the online application, “The Kiplinger Program is looking for innovative journalists who want to use social media to build a stronger following, develop new sources and better cover their beats.”

Applications aren’t due until November 30, 2010, but this sounds like a decent way to spend a week.
