San Diego TV Reporter Narrowly Averts Covering His Own Funeral
According to the US Census Bureau, non-fatal distracted driver related injuries were most recently just around the yearly mark of 2.2 million. Last night, KGTV San Diego sports director Ben Higgins suddenly looked like he could be a part of the 2011 numbers.
The video of Higgins reporting live from the NCAA basketball tournament in Tucson and unknowingly standing in the path of a reversing Cadillac Escalade – until his cameraman steps in at the last moment – is this week’s viral reporter ripple.
Because Higgins escaped unharmed, the jokes have started to fly on Twitter and elsewhere.
