Kate Schweitzer to Leave Marie Claire For PopSugar [UPDATED]

Exclusive: Kate Schweitzer, a senior web editor at Marie Claire, is leaving the Hearst-owned magazine to join celebrity and women’s lifestyle site PopSugar, FishbowlNY has learned.

She will report to Melissa Liebling-Goldberg, the Fashion & Beauty director.

Schweitzer departs Marie Claire after three years and one month at the lifestyle glossy, according to her LinkedIn page.

Laurie Spindler, PopSugar’s spokeswoman, told FishbowlNY that Schweitzer will serve as the lead fashion editor for the site, which also offers a shopping site.
