LA Composer Siblings Still Scoring with Silence of the Lambs Parody

A decade and a half ago, Jon and Al Kaplan moved from New York to Los Angeles, where they studied concert composition at USC and established themselves as “struggling, world-famous film and TV composers.” But it is back in their hometown this summer that they are attracting renewed attention with an off-Broadway staging of their musical parody of 1991 Best Picture winner The Silence of the Lambs.

The show opened June 24 and is garnering solid write-ups.
