John Homans Exits New York Magazine
Capital New York has the memo.
Circulated to New York magazine staffers on Monday, the communique announced the earth-shaking departure of executive editor John Homans for Bloomberg Media’s forthcoming Politics vertical. There, Homans will rejoin former colleague John Heilemann.
As Capital’s Jeremy Barr notes, the memo from New York editor Adam Moss features some “salty” language. Per Moss:
Personally I will miss his sly New England wit and the very warm B-side to that A-exterior. But mostly I am sure I will never stop hearing him bellow, “OK, what the fuck?” to no one in particular, by which he means what the fuck should I do now?
The phrase is basically the soundtrack to all of our lives here, and I know it’s going to follow me into my dreams.
