JoAnne Wasserman Joins Capital New York

JoAnne Wasserman, a veteran of The New York Daily News, is joining Capital New York. The New York Observer reports that Wasserman — who was laid off by the Daily News a few months ago — will serve as an editor for Capital.

Wasserman joined the Daily News in 1986 as a reporter covering City Hall. She most recently served as the paper’s Brooklyn bureau chief, a spot she held for eight years.
