Jimmy Buffett's 'Margaritaville Enterprises' Expands

You can't stop Jimmy Buffett, you can only hope to contain him.

Margaritaville Enterprises, the hospitality and merchandise company from Jimmy Buffett, is expanding its media content. If this seems like a joke, it’s not. Margaritaville is a certified empire, with $1.5 billion in sales last year.

To help this expansion, the company has hired Sarah Ramey as head of content, Sam Keene as head of digital marketing and platforms and Talar Sarkissian as head of business development and operations.

Ramey most recently worked for Gawker Media; Keene for Nascar and Sarkissian for the mobile video startup SpeakUp.

“With Sarah’s deep content capabilities across digital, TV and film, Sam’s proven leadership in building digital audiences for lifestyle brands and Talar’s strong operational experience, we are perfectly positioned to take Margaritaville Media to the next level and grow our company’s social presence,” said the company’s  president of media and chief digital officer, Laura Lee, in a statement.
