Jeff Bezos Responds to Harsh NY Times Article
"I strongly believe that anyone working in a company that really is like the one described in the NYT would be crazy to stay."
This weekend, The New York Times unleashed a damning report on the horrible work conditions at Amazon.com. It included sources claiming things like, “Nearly every person I worked with, I saw cry at their desk.” And that was far from the worst of it. Amazon’s founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has now responded to the Times piece in a memo to staffers.
“The NYT article prominently features anecdotes describing shockingly callous management practices, including people being treated without empathy while enduring family tragedies and serious health problems,” wrote Bezos.
