Jeans Are OK at LADN

The Los Angeles Daily News, looking about as ridiculous as you might find in this exploitative media world, decided to take down its inane ban of jeans in the workplace.
Kevin Roderick, of LA Observed, noted the item. It essentially quoted one of the higher-ups at the News, editor Carolina Garcia, in a staff email:

All,
After serious review, the proposed dress code has been dropped from consideration. Let’s continue to dress professionally and to use our best judgment in choosing the right attire for the task at hand – whether covering a city hall news conference, chasing a fire or working the night copy desk.

Thanks
