Jack Griffin Out as Tribune Publishing CEO

That was fast.

Jack Griffin’s (pictured) reign as Tribune Publishing’s CEO lasted just two years. A Griffin spokesperson told CNNMoney that the parting was mutual.

Tribune Publishing owns the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.

Justin Dearborn—a former chief executive of Merge Healthcare and friend of Tribune’s biggest shareholder, Michael Ferro—is succeeding Griffin. Dearbon, according to the LA Times, has worked for Ferro since at least 1997.

“I have tremendous respect for the mission of this business and for the dedicated employees that serve this organization with distinction,” Griffin said in a statement.
