Angela Matusik, one of the earliest magazine editors to turn her attention to the Web, will join iVillage Networks as its chief content executive. She'll start March 30 and be tasked with developing content for iVillage.com, Astrology.com and iVillage.co.uk. Matusik comes from People.com where she was development editor. Before that, she helped found InStyle, as well as InStyle.com, and dominomag.com, the Web site of the deceased but much-loved magazine, Domino. ANGELA MATUSIK NAMED CHIEF CONTENT EXECUTIVE, IVILLAGE NETWORKS March 17, 2009 Angela Matusik has been appointed Chief Content Executive for iVillage Networks, it was announced today by Rebecca Miskin, General Manager, iVillage Networks. Beginning on Monday, March 30 and reporting to Miskin, Matusik is tasked with revitalizing the editorial vision for each of the brands within the Network including iVillage.com, the leading online community for women, Astrology.com and iVillage.co.uk, so that each of these sites deliver exceptional user experiences filled with compelling content, innovative products and special features. Most recently, Matusik was the development editor at People.com. There, she was charged with developing and overseeing the Web site's celebrity style channel, StyleWatch. Today, StyleWatch attracts between 15-25% of People.com's overall traffic. Matusik also led the editorial on PEOPLE Digital's acquisition of Celebrity Baby Blog, in May 2008, and oversaw the launch of PEOPLE's new PEOPLE Pets site, in December 2008. A publishing and new media veteran with over 17 years of experience, Matusik was one of the founding editors of InStyle magazine. Working there from 1994 to 2003, she was responsible for creating and overseeing some of the magazine's most popular features and sections. In 2000, Matusik developed and launched instyle.com, the magazine's Web site which has grown to be one of the leaders in its category. While at Time Inc., she also worked on several developmental projects, exploring magazine and website concepts for the women's market, in topics ranging from decor to relationships. Other publishing launches Matusik contributed to include Hearstâ€™s Shop Etc., and Conde Nast's Domino magazine, where she developed their site, dominomag.com. In 2005, she was named editor-in-chief of Budget Living magazine. Matusik is also the founder of the popular home decorating and food blog, Shelterrific. Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, Matusik has a BS from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. She resides in New York City.
