It's Official! Robert Thomson New Managing Editor at WSJ

It looks like Rupert Murdoch has found his Radar. It’s just been announced that Robert Thomson has just been appointed Managing Editor of the Wall Street Journal.

According to the release the Dow Jones Special Committee “unanimously endorsed Mr. Thomson’s appointment following his nomination by the Company last week.” Says Rupe: “Mr. Thomson’s outstanding career as a financial journalist, foreign correspondent and editor, equips him perfectly for the position.”

There has been much speculation in recent weeks over who Rupe would tap for the position after it was vacated by Marcus Brauchli.
