Islands Magazine Introduces Four Apps
Bonnier’s Islands magazine is venturing into digital — in a way that compliments print — with the introduction of four new apps. The magazine’s June issue integrates tagging technology with mobile apps, which means Islands readers can scan barcodes within the print magazine’s pages in with a smartphone in order to access additional features and content.
Three of these apps — Islands Recipes, Islands Reader’s Choice and Islands Travel Guide: Dominican Republic — are free and available via web dowload, with the fourth, “Pictures,” available for download via Apple’s iTunes .
