It used to be fashionable in New York Media Fishbowl (tm) not so long ago to say that someone overabitious was ”The Sir Edmund Hillary of Social Climbing.” Ten years ago, that would draw a wry, knowing smile from anyone within listening distance. Not so much anymore. Quest editor, FishbowlNY friend and NYSocialDiarist David Patrick Columbia brings up an interesting point with regards to yesterday’s Times Sunday Styles article on the rise of Jessica Seinfeld:
