Indie Publishers Storm Manhattan

So while mainstream publishing burns, indie publishing houses are enjoying an unprecedented opportunity to convince people they are the next wave.

The movement continues this weekend at the 2008 Independent and Small Press Book Fair at the General Society building (20 W 44th Street). Lots and lots of indie houses — over 150 to be vaguely exact — will shop their wares. Also, there are 12 free programs about book publishing, so you can start your own house and join the revolution.
