Inc., Fast Company Staffers Were Hacked

No more using "1234567" as your password.

A data breach at Mansueto Ventures—publisher of Inc. and Fast Company—has exposed staffers’ information to hackers.

The digital thieves have already used the data, which included social security numbers, to file fake tax returns.

A source told the New York Post that “the stolen IDs of 90 percent of the employees were used to file the fraudulent tax returns.” There hasn’t been any confirmation of that number.

Mansueto said that customer information was not impacted.
