If I Were A Cowgirl, Yiddle Diddle Diddle Diddle Diddle Dum

In a delightful bit of cross-pollination, our own Kate Coe has a piece in the Jewish Journal today about appearing in the Billings West High School senior class of 1971 production of Fiddler on the Roof.

The Montana native explains that her virtually Jew-less school recruited a local literature prof to “teach the cowboys and cheerleaders about the joys of Yiddish.”

The results sound adorable. And clearly prepared Coe for her future life in Hollywood:

During that month of rehearsal, the cast and crew formed a little community within the school.
