Howard Stern Signs New Five-Year Deal With Sirius XM Radio

The shock jock (do people still say that?) didn’t discuss what the contract was worth, but stated that he was pleased with the results:

The contract was fair. I know Sirius was happy with it and I’m happy with it.

Of course Sirius was happy with it. Before Stern came aboard the satellite station was faltering, and now it boasts more than 20 million listeners. The merger of the station with its competitor XM Radio surely helped, but it was Stern signing his original five-year contract back in 2004 that really built some buzz around the brand.
